About me
I live, work, and play in rural New Hampshire and love the natural beauty that surrounds my home town. I am often found outside, wandering the woods, kayaking, or enjoying time with my family and friends. In 2012 I became a community nutrition educator and, although my focus was nutrition, I quickly learned that this type of work requires more than just understanding the topic at hand. The skills I gained built my success as an educator, but more importantly showed me the value in relationship building. The purpose of Joy Gagnon Consulting is to help others form successful relationships that build trust, inspire participation, and improve collaboration.

Why Joy Gagnon Consulting is the right choice for you
As a community educator I have experience working with hosting agencies to design a program they wanted, recruit participation, and respond to stakeholders. Satisfying the needs of all three sectors can be challenging, but challenges open the door to improve and define our goals. Joy Gagnon Consulting can work with your company or coalition to identify the challenges preventing you from reaching your full potential.
My Experience
When asked what my role is in the community it is often said that I am a community connector, bringing different organizations together for a common goal or outcome.
In 2019 I noticed that my town had many different groups working on the same types of projects or activities, but didn't always work together. I worked with my community to create a local networking group that meets bimonthly to share information, discuss common issues, Share best practices, and collaborate on projects. This group has an active list of members who participate regularly, because they feel the meetings are beneficial to their work. Regular meetings build relationships, allow for open dialog, and improve productivity.
I also lead a food access coalition that is made up of about 25 organizations working together on data driven, measurable goals. The coalition is broken into teams who work on specific goals, and report back to the whole team monthly. Each organization participates regularly and values the coalition because the goals align with their mission and improve outreach in the region.
